IUN School of Business offers free tax preparations

GARY | Beginning Saturday and continuing Friday nights through April, local families with less than $50,000 annual income may take advantage of the free Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program at the Indiana University Northwest School of Business and Economics.

Eligible families are invited on a first-come, first-served basis to get their returns prepared between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday. Registration will take place in the first floor lounge in the Dunes Medical/Professional Building on the IU Northwest campus.

Services on Fridays are by appointment between 5 and 8 p.m. in the Dunes Medical/Professional Building, room 1103. Families are asked to bring all W-2 forms and other pertinent tax information.
