CHESTERTON | Fitness activities, music, fun and fashion will highlight Family Health/Cancer Awareness Day on Sunday at Indiana Dunes State Park.

Teams can run, walk, bike or paddle to raise funds at the event sponsored by Franciscan Alliance to benefit the Foundation for Molecular Medicine. At 8 a.m., registration begins for runners at Friendship Land Park, Fifth and Morgan streets. The 5K will start at 9.

Face painting, magic acts and beach volleyball will start at 11 a.m. Music will last from noon to 2 p.m., with a fashion show from 2 to 3.

The race starts at Chesterton Park, at the intersection of Morgan and Fifth streets and ends before the park entrance where East State Park Boundary Road meets Ind. 49.

Bicyclists should visit for various start locations. Boat paddlers should visit for start locations.
