HAMMOND | Exploring how art has helped shaped the advertising industry is the focus of a multicultural program hosted by Purdue University Calumet at 2 p.m., Nov. 3 in the Student Union & Library’s Alumni Hall.
The program, “The Art of Advertising around the World,” examines advertising differences worldwide.
The free, two-hour program features musical, dance and theatrical performances by the Wirt Emerson Jazz band and drum line, South Shore Dance Alliance, jazz diva Stephanie Knox and the Purdue University Calumet Theater Company.
Attendees also have an opportunity to sample international cuisine.
The program is part of Purdue Calumet’s Building Community through the Arts program series, which seeks to celebrate the ethnic and cultural diversity of the world as evidenced throughout Northwest Indiana.
