B. Coleman Aviation broke ground Monday on its 25,000-square-foot hangar/terminal facility at the Gary/Chicago International Airport.

B. Coleman operators say it will feature full fixed base operation services for aircraft including fuel sales, charter services, and aircraft management.

A spring opening is planned.

B. Coleman Aviation is a subsidiary East Lake Management & Development Corp., a company founded and run by Chicago real estate baron Elzie Higginbottom.
