HOBART | Dawn Duty will take over as executive director of the Hobart Chamber of Commerce on Jan. 1, replacing Mike Adams.
Adams is retiring after seven years of service.
Duty has more than 25 years of non-for-profit professional experience. She has worked with Boys & Girls Clubs, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and Kids Alive International.
She was born in Chicago and lived in suburban Chicago until her family moved to Northwest Indiana 10 years ago.
“I look forward to serving the City of Hobart and the Chamber of Commerce," Duty said. “Hobart has great history and this warm vibrant City continues those traditions with potential for economic and community development."
