A Highland-based staffing company has spun off a new division to staff private parties, which can be popular around the holidays.

"Hospitality Services Group has launched its new division, Private Services, that specializes in planning parties and special events and has a large client base of private home events," Hospitality Services Group President Dan Kesic said. "Private Services has recruited within Hospitality Services Group pool of workers to identify the best in the business and is still looking to bring on new people. The events are located all over Northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area, and Private Services is looking to hire people who can cross train into positions."

Hospitality Services Group staffs bartenders, wait staff and other workers at corporate events at hotels, museums, stadiums and convention centers. It's now referring home party requests to Todd Armbruster, the president of the new Private Services division. He will coordinate and bring in staff to help serve food and drinks or wash dishes at birthday parties, holiday parties or other shindigs.

More than 75 clients have already booked Thanksgiving parties this year.

Hospitality Services Group's Private Services is currently looking to hire sous chefs, kitchen captains, servers, bartenders and dishwashers for wages of between $13 and $25 per hour, plus the ability to make tips in some positions. Candidates would need to be able to pass criminal background and drug tests.
