Maps of proposed corridors for the Illiana Expressway are now available at the Illiana Corridor – Partnering for Progress website at http://www.illianacorridor.org.

The maps were unveiled at a meeting of the Illiana Corridor Planning Group on Wednesday at the Avalon Manor in Hobart. They include a preferred corridor that starts at Interstate 65 and runs between Lowell and Cedar Lake before heading west to Wilmington, Ill., where it would join Interstate 55.

The route maps can be found on the website by clicking on Information Center and then Document Library. The maps are contained in the slide show titled Corridor Planning Group & Technical Task Force Meeting #7.

A public meeting on the proposed routes will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 22 at Crown Point High School, 1500 S. Main St. A second meeting will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Matteson Hotel and Conference Center, 500 Holiday Plaza Drive, Matteson, Ill.
