The Indiana Chamber of Commerce and the Indiana Department of Environmental Management are joining forces for the 2013 Indiana Environmental Management Conference Oct. 15 and 16.
The conference marks the first such collaboration by the two entities.
The conference, which will take place at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis, begins at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 15 with a presentation by Janet McCabe, acting assistant administrator for the office of air and radiation for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
An expo with environmental exhibitors will take place the first day of the conference. Concurrent educational sessions will take place both days on such subjects as regulatory updates, water and air permitting processes, environmental liability protection for commercial and industrial property transactions and community right to know reporting.
IDEM Commissioner Tom Easterly will present at the closing luncheon at noon Oct. 16. The conference will adjourn at 1:15 p.m. that day.
The cost is $495 per person with an Indiana Chamber member discount, $595 for non-members and $199 for government employees and students. Any entity sending one representative may send a second for half price.
