GARY | Indiana University Northwest invites the campus and community to a lecture about trade imbalance in the U.S. from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Tuesday in the John W. Anderson Library Conference Center, Room 105ABC.

School of Business and Economics Professor of Marketing Subir Bandyopadhyay will present “Taking the Bull by the Horn: How to Reduce the Alarming Growth in Trade Imbalance of the U.S.”

In January 2010, President Obama pledged to double U.S. exports from $1 trillion to $2 trillion within five years. In his lecture, Bandyopadhyay will address such questions as, “Are we on our way to achieving this goal? What will it take to achieve this goal? Which countries and regions should we target for export growth? Will it improve our balance of trade? How does it influence the economy of the state of Indiana and Northwest Indiana?”
