Hammond-based Korellis Roofing's reputation for its attention to detail has helped the firm land a national industry award.

Firestone Building Products Company LLC, an Indianapolis-based commercial building supplier, honored the 57-year-old family-owned roofing company with its 2017 Silver Master Contractor Award and the Inner Circle of Quality Award. Korellis, which employs more than 120 workers and is one of the largest roofing contractors in Chicagoland, was recognized for being in the top 5 percent of Firestone roofing contractors across the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

“For 30 years, our contractors continue to prove they’re among the best in the industry. The Master Contractor award reflects their hard work and attention to detail,” said Tim Dunn, Firestone Building Products president. “This esteemed Master Contractor distinction is among the longest running in the commercial roofing industry, and we’re honored to be partnered with these reputable firms.”

Firestone Building Products has presented the awards for 30 years. The awards are given based on total square footage of roofing installed and inspection ratings.

Contractors must have at least eight jobs in the previous year and maintain 2 million square feet of Firestone Building Products roofs under warranty.
