Methodist Hospitals has announced changes in some of its key roles.

Wright Alcorn joined Methodist Hospitals as vice president of operations. Alcorn, who has experience in hospital and health system administration and operations, had been in the role of interim vice president of operations since February. 

He will have responsibilities for centers of excellence, clinical ancillary departments, including laboratory radiology/imaging and outpatient diagnostics, and the facilities, plant operations and food service areas.

Before coming to Methodist Hospitals, Wright worked at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta for more than 19 years.

Also, Tim Diamond joined Methodist Hospitals as chief information officer. He served in the same role at La Rabida Children's Hospital in Chicago, where he was responsible for information services, health information management and telecommunications services.

Victor Garcia joined Methodist Hospitals as director of critical care and the emergency department. He worked at Methodist Hospitals in Sacramento, Calif., where he was the director of critical care. Prior to Sacramento, Garcia was at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in Gilbert, Ariz., where he was the director of emergency services. 

Marcia Brewer joined Methodist Hospitals as director of cardiovascular services. Before coming to Methodist, she spent 24 years at La Porte Hospital as director of the cardiovascular service line.
