VALPARAISO | Tim Belstra of Belstra Milling Co. in DeMotte will address the Valparaiso Rotary Club at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Strongbow Inn, at 2405 E U.S. 30 in Valparaiso.

Titled “The Pork Industry: More Than Just the Other White Meat,” the speech by Belstra will highlight how and why pork has changed dramatically, the industry’s impact on the rural economy and ongoing programs to raise healthier pigs and protect the environment.

Belstra is one of more than 3,000 pork producers in Indiana. He said Indiana’s swine industry contributes more than $3 billion to the state’s economy each year.
