Luke Oil Co. Chief Executive Officer Tom Collins has been appointed to a statewide board.

Collins, who runs the Hobart-based company that brings in more than $1 billion in annual sales, was elected to serve on the Indiana Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association board.

He will serve a two-year term as national director for the association, which is a trade organization that represents Indiana's petroleum marketers, lube oil dealers and convenience store and truck stop operators. The group represents more than 120 businesses that operate more than 2,500 convenience stores across the state of Indiana.

New board members were elected at an annual membership meeting in Indianapolis, and their terms began July 1.
