MERRILLVILLE | Towne Centre Health Care's skilled nursing facility is closing in November, cutting all 121 jobs at the center, the parent company told the state this week.

In a letter dated Wednesday, Texas-based Capital Senior Living ILM-B Inc. told the Indiana Department of Workforce Development the 120-bed skilled nursing facility at 7250 Arthur Blvd. will permanently close Nov. 4.

The assisted living and independent living facilities at Towne Centre will remain open, according to the letter.

The closure includes the elimination of 121 full-time and part-time jobs.

The letter states the following positions will be cut: two in accounting, seven in activities, five in administration, 55 certified nursing aides, six in dietary, one director, 15 in housekeeping/laundry, 28 nurses and two in social services.
