GARY | The U.S. Department of Labor will hold a roundtable discussion Wednesday in Gary on President Barack Obama’s proposal to raise the minimum wage.
The discussion will take place at 11 a.m. at the Sojourner Truth House, 410 West 13th Ave.
The acting deputy administrator for the department’s Wage and Hour Division, Mary Beth Maxwell, will be joined by advocates and local workers, who will share their thoughts about how a minimum wage increase would benefit them and their families.
