Welcome to the prime of your life.
Readers can find The Times Media Co.'s new section, Prime, inside today's editions. The section offers stories and viewpoints about the 55 and older generation.
“We created Prime when we heard demand from both readers and advertisers for a product that speaks to a mature audience," interim Publisher Lisa Daugherty said. "We will produce upbeat and relevant content for an active lifestyle as well as content that covers the common challenges we face as we or our parents are aging.”
Baby boomers will find Prime offers a forum for their issues, concerns and interests. For example, today's section contains stories about grandparents who Skype, "glamping" (glamorous camping) and traveling along Florida's Forgotten Coast.
There's also a profile on Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore Superintendent Costa Dillon, who is embarking on the next chapter in his life after spending 35 years in park management.
Prime will publish Tuesdays as a page each week with a larger section appearing once a month.
