A Valparaiso-based nonprofit organization that assists adults and children in Northwest Indiana is hiring.

Opportunity Enterprises recently added its 500th employee, and is continuing to grow. The agency plans to hire 40 full-time employees in support and professional positions over the next 90 days.

Opportunity Enterprises will have open interviews at 9 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday at its headquarters at 2801 Evans Ave. in Valparaiso. Anyone who is interested can apply in advance at www.oppent.org/employment.

"Working with children and adults with disabilities is a vocation that will change your life," said CEO David Stupay. "Each day I have the privilege of working with people who are excited about life and the possibility of learning and growing."

The nonprofit provides services to 1,200 adults and children with disabilities across Northwest Indiana.

"The impact of our services is evident across all areas of our programming, from families who can confidently go on a vacation while their child is in the care of our respite program to professionals diagnosed with sensory impairments who are being successfully placed in competitive community employment," Stupay said.
