HAMMOND | "Marketing Yourself in a Tough Economy” is the theme of Purdue University Calumet’s next Platinum Speakers presentation at 6 p.m. April 22 in the university’s Student Union & Library, Room with a View.
Michael Hicks, director of the Center for Business and Economic Research and professor at Ball State University, will moderate a panel discussion of work force specialists.
Comprising the panel are Eric Dombrowski, Center of Workforce Innovations, Inc. research assistant; Shaun Darling, Arcelor Mittal Steelworker for the Future Program team leader; Anthony Ferracane, Community Foundation of Northwest Indiana vice president of human resources; and Shelly Robinson, Purdue Calumet director of career services.
The panel will provide insights on labor trends and how businesses are trying to close the skills gap.
