Porter County AmeriCorps Program

AmeriCorps tutor Stephanie Bradley talks about her experience working with the Porter County AmeriCorps program. Local AmeriCorps representatives announced Friday during a news conference at the United Way of Porter County in Valparaiso the receipt of more than $600,000 in grant funding to provide services in a five-county area in Northwest Indiana for at-risk students K-12 in need of tutoring, and other community services. Over $370,000 of the grant comes from the Corporations for National and Community Service, and matching local funds of more than $230,000.
