A top Potash Corp. executive will update region businesspeople on progress on the company's planned $65 million rail-to-truck transfer facility Friday at Dynasty Banquets in Hammond.

Potash Senior Director of Transportation Distribution David Ostertag will be the keynote speaker at "Junction 2013." He also will take part in a panel discussion with rail leaders and economic developers. The luncheon event starts at 11:30 a.m.

In addition to the Potash project, located at Gibson Yard in Hammond, there will be updates on other rail projects including the long-stalled $70 million Indiana Gateway project centering on Porter Junction.

The April 19 event will be hosted by the Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce and Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce, as the two move forward on their joint economic development initiative for the region.

Due to limited seating, registration and payment are required by Tuesday. Call the Lakeshore Chamber at (219) 931-1000.
