Hiring representatives from companies across the region gathered at Prairie State College Tuesday in search of prospective employees.

PSC’s biannual job fair ran from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the college’s conference center, 202 S. Halsted St.

Representatives from different companies looked to fill both full- and part-time positions ranging from entry level to professional and managerial levels, according to the PSC website.

Tanya Norfleet, coordinator of career development services at PSC, said there seemed to be fewer attendees than at the school's last job fair in October.

"Maybe that's a good thing," she said.

Companies that participated included UPS, ArcelorMittal, Pico Chemical Corp., Speedway, Sedona Staffing, Davis Staffing, Advance Auto Parts, and other companies including health care companies.
