Russ Bereolos, an American Family Insurance agent in Munster, and John Hamilton, an American Family Insurance agent in Portage, and Ken West, an American Family Insurance agent in Hobart, have earned 2013 American Star Excellence in Customer Experience Certification.

Plumbers Local Union 210 in Merrillville recently held nomination of its officers. Michael “Mickey” Greenya, of Munster, was unopposed as president, Salvador “Sal” Espino, of Hammond, was unopposed as vice president, David Misch, of Valparaiso, was unopposed as business manager/financial secretary and Matthew Terry, of Portage, was unopposed as business Agent. All were unanimously elected for three-year terms.

Matt Harkness has been named Chief Operating Officer of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians three Four Winds Casino properties. Harkness will also continue as General Manager of Four Winds New Buffalo. Frank Freedman has also been named General Manager of Four Winds Hartford and Four Winds Dowagiac. Freedman will continue as Assistant General Manager of Four Winds New Buffalo. 

Highland resident Steven Schroers, of Prompt Ambulance Services, has been named 2013-14 Term President of the ACBSP KBD Business Honors Society at IVY Tech Northwest.

Century 21 Alliance Group in Valparaiso recognized some employees in April. The top listing agents were Lisa and Leroy Moore, and the top closing agents year-to-date were Natalie and Diane Worstell of the Worstell Group. Agent Joe Pagan also was recognized as the agent with the most sales in April.
