Attorneys and members of the general public who are taking care of someone with special needs can learn more about special needs trusts at an upcoming pair of seminars being put on by Centier Bank.

The bank's wealth management department will host both seminars on Dec. 12 at the Centier Centre, 600 E. 84th Ave., Merrillville. The seminar for attorneys will take place between 3 and 5 p.m., and offer lawyers 1.5 hours of CLE credits.

The seminar for the public will take place between 5:30 and 7 p.m. Trust officer and vice president Kristen Mallory will review the types of special needs trusts and their benefits, how to maintain eligibility for government benefits and planning where the loved one would live in the future.

Both events are free, but seating is limited. RSVP by Nov. 27 to Chelsea Hill at chill@centier or 219-755-6100, ext. 1897.
