HAMMOND | The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority will be hosting its annual Tourism Week Luncheon on May 8 at the Indiana Welcome Center, 7770 Corinne Drive.

Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. and the luncheon will begin at 11:45 a.m. Tickets are $35 per person or $300 for a table of 10. RSVPs will be accepted through Friday.

Rick Mazer, regional president of Harrah’s, Flamingo, The Quad and Drai’s/Gansevoort project in Las Vegas, will be this year’s keynote speaker. Mazer will bring his experience to the luncheon as he discusses personal insights and trends in the hospitality industry seen throughout his career. The luncheon will also discuss the state of the tourism industry along the South Shore.

Prior to working in Las Vegas, Mazer served as the Indiana regional president and general manager, overseeing Horseshoe Casino in Hammond and Horseshoe Southern Indiana.
