The Times Media Co. publisher Christopher T. White will appear on Lakeshore Public Television to discuss his plans for the state's second-largest newspaper and its focus on the community.
White told interviewer Jodi Juhl that The Times has done remarkable work as a news organization and a community leader, and that he hoped to continue that.
The Times is not only the second-largest newspaper in Indiana, but the second largest or possibly the largest community newspaper in the country, White said. Community newspapers have fared better than struggling metro newspapers, and have the opportunity to grow and thrive in the digital and mobile arenas.
However news delivery evolves, White said the core mission remains the same: to cover the communities, and bring news out of them.
His interview will air at 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Friday on Lakeshore News Tonight.
