MERRILLVILLE|White Lodging Services Corp. has named a new executive to oversee its full service division.

The Merrillville-based hotel development and management company has hired Keith Daub as chief operating officer of its division that oversees hotels with on-site restaurants, banquet halls, catering services and other amenities.

Daub will manage the day-to-day operations of the full-service division and oversee three regional vice presidents and the department's vice president for revenue generation. He also will work closely with fellow chief operating officer Bryan Hayes, who oversees the select service hotels, which typically offer less food and fewer meeting spaces.

"I am extremely happy to be joining a company with White Lodging's commitment to excellence in hotel operations, in its focus on its associates and customers and in its strategic growth plan," Daub said. "I couldn't be happier than joining a company with White Lodging's excellent reputation in the hospitality industry."

White Lodging – founded 28 years ago – develops and operates premium hotels in largely urban markets across the United States. The company owns more than 168 hotels in 21 states and is in the process of building a J.W. Marriott in downtown Austin and a 21-story Hyatt Place and Hyatt House in downtown Denver.

The company also develops and owns hotels under the Hilton, Starwood, Preferred and InterContinental brands.

Daub, who begins working in his new role in November, previously served for more than 12 years as the president and chief operating office of Winegardner and Hammons, Inc., a Cincinnati-based company that owns and manages hotels across the country.

The New Jersey native worked in a variety of hotel positions in high school and college and graduated from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration.

"Keith strives to keep customers first in his focus on operations and believes customer satisfaction is the key to repeat business, leading to long-term success at a property," said Dave Sibley, White Lodging's president and chief executive officer of the hospitality management division.

White Lodging also recently announced the hiring of seven general managers at properties across the country.

Locally, the company hired Claire Doty as general manager of the Residence Inn Chicago Southeast/Hammond and Erin Bertollini as general manager of the Radisson Star Plaza in Merrillville.
