WorkOne to assist veterans with green training

Northwest Indiana workforce advocates are encouraging veterans to work with the local workforce development system to engage in free training to help land a green job.

WorkOne representatives are helping direct and enroll veterans into the U.S. Department of Labor’s Veterans Workforce Investment Program. In conjunction with the program, WorkOne is helping to develop and promote training opportunities that will result in green job certifications.

Applicants must be a veteran with more than six months of active duty service or service connected disability; they must not have been dishonorably discharged.
