HAMMOND | The Hammond INnovation Center and the Northwest Indiana SBDC present their next Smart Start workshop, Healthy Staff, Healthy Business - Healthcare for Small Businesses.
The workshop, set from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Feb. 21, will be at the INnovation Center, 5209 Hohman Ave.,
A healthy, happy employee can aid in making up for many budget shortfalls. However, the negotiating and obtaining health insurance for your staff can be difficult and confusing, especially with elements of the new health care law continuing to take effect over the next two years.
Topics include the benefits of insuring your employees, what small business owners will and won’t be responsible for, different plans that are available and ways to negotiate the best deal.
Cost is $20, which includes breakfast.
