Luxury apartments going up in Chesterton

In Good Company celebrated a groundbreaking for its Eagle Crossing luxury apartments in Coffee Creek in Chesterton.

In Good Company Residential Property Management recently broke ground on the new multimillion-dollar Eagle Crossing luxury apartments in the Coffee Creek mixed-use apartments in Chesterton.

“In Good Company fills a critical niche of quality high-end living for the Town of Chesterton,” Town Manager Bernie Doyle said. “They complement the dynamic growth we are experiencing.”

The Merrillville-based developer is building 170 apartments in 23 prairie style-influenced buildings spread over 18 acres on the east side of Kelle Drive, between Railroad Road and Sidewalk Road. It's investing $30 million in the residential development, which will take two years to build out.

“The town of Chesterton has been incredibly supportive of this project and that is important to us,” said IGC Principal Jon Hicks, a Chesterton native. “The core value of our company is to make a quality of life difference in each community we serve.”

Eagle Crossing will include a fitness center, swimming pool and playground. It will be located next to the Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve, which encompasses 157 acres of wetlands, woodlands and prairies that are crisscrossed with trails.

“We are very proud of bringing this flagship, our most luxurious product, to our hometown,” said Chesterton native Michael Sakich, principal of In Good Company.
