J. Michael Webb recently expanded his business by purchasing and re-branding the former Bill Jacobs Chevrolet dealership at 16140 South Lincoln Highway in Plainfield. This is the second Chevy store within the Webb Family Auto Group.

“Purchasing this dealership is a strategic move for us. It enables our expansion to the west by giving us a strong presence in Will County. We are very excited to invest in this growing community with a great new store location. We look forward to introducing ourselves to the community and serving our new customers,” said Mike Webb.

“Chevy has come a long way with new and exciting products; many are redesigned for enhanced fuel efficiency. Chevy has received more 2013 quality awards than any other brand and it’s the number one selling brand in Chicagoland,” he said.

“We’ll continue to carry new and pre-driven vehicles; our large inventory makes us a one-stop shop for someone who’s looking in any price range. Our General Manager, Brad Wise, is a familiar face at the Plainfield location,” Webb added.

General Manager Brad has been in the car business selling cars for about 25 years, and is a former Bill Jacobs employee. He says he still feels at home even after Webb moved in, and says that this group has a lot of Joliet-area roots.

Jackie Webb, Internet director and sales manager, said a family member will be at the dealership every day. She said staff at Webb Chevy plan to have an active role in the Plainfield community and are looking for ways to get involved.

The Webb Family Auto Group began over 42 years ago with the opening of Webb Ford in Highland. In addition to Webb Ford, locations include Webb Hyundai in Highland, Indiana, Webb Chevy in Oak Lawn, Illinois, and now Webb Chevy in Plainfield, Illinois. Call 866.812.3816 or visit
