Schepel Buick GMC is Northwest Indiana’s Buick GMC dealer, offering new Buick and GMC vehicles as well as used cars, trucks, and vans of all makes and models. They also offer service, parts, and financing options and customers return for all of the vehicle needs time and time again because of the award-winning service they receive at Schepel Buick GMC.

Tom VanProoyen, vice-president and general manager of Schepel Buick GMC says that they were recently notified of their exceptional customer service from the General Motors corporate office. “We just found out that we were awarded dealer of the year again for 2013 by General Motors. Typically there are about 15 dealers that receive this award across the country. The criteria used for review consists of new and used car sales, customer satisfaction, employee high training standards, the facility must be image compliant, and a high service capacity and parts department. In addition to excelling in these areas, we maintain an excellent online and digital presence, we return emails quickly, and we have a high percentage of people who come online and buy a car. It’s quite an honor and we are blessed with having a very good staff, our service technicians, sales, and parts people and for us it is all about the customer. Each year the bar is raised higher which means that we keep trying harder,” says VanProoyen.

Schepel Buick GMC offers a full line of vehicles that are also award-winning and attract drivers with a variety of styles and features. Van Prooyen says, “The new Yukon just arrived and this is a full-sized SUV that delivers better fuel economy than its predecessor with a crisper style. The third row seat folds flat and you don’t have to remove the seats. They can be folded manually or electronically. The new Denali series arrives the first week of April and another product that is still gaining traction and is rapidly becoming one of the best-selling trucks we’ve seen is the Sierra. It has a lot of features, more towing capacity and more room in the cab, particularly in the rear seat area, and it is very comfortable. Five adults can ride cross country and not become uncomfortable. The Sierra has three bed sizes and we’re finding that the V6 is popular. People are surprised with the power it has while having better fuel economy, but there are three different engine sizes from which to select. The Sierra and Yukon both come with two years of free maintenance so oil changes and wheel rotations are complementary. Also, the Buick Regal and LaCrosse are both restyled this year with interiors that are much more luxurious. They feature hand-sewn leathers and improved touch points on the interior. They have also improved the grill and headlamps and given them a fresher look with a progressive style.”
