Big Oil Stories
Paul Henry's Art Gallery hosts Dr. Riki Ott sharing video clips and stories about her experiences working with communities affected by the oil industry. She will bring first-hand research and protest activity from the decades since Exxon Valdez in Alaska. Those who have major environmental concerns, anti-oil industry activists and those who have issues with corporate dominance are welcome to engage in a lively and informed discussion. A trained marine toxicologist and former commercial fisher woman, she has written two books on oil spill impacts to ecosystems, people, and communities and starred in Black Wave, an award-winning feature film. Bring a snack to share with others.
