Film Movement showcases an award-winning, first-run independent and foreign films the third Wednesday of every month. Each month, a board of curators composed of leading voices in film selects a new title for the Film Movement program. Films and trailers are not subject to MPAA review and may not be appropriate for children younger than 17. The Oct. 16 selection is "Aliyah" by Elie Wajeman. The story is about Alex Raphelson, played by young French actor Pio Marmai, a Jewish drug dealer in Paris who is caught between family ties and dreams of moving to a better life in Israel.
