Hammond Historical Society and the Friends of the Hammond Public Library will hold a joint meeting with guest speaker Arthur S. Meyers, former director of the library. He will speak on the Open Forum Lecture Movement which began in 1908. In Hammond it began as the Beth El Open Forum in 1924 and continued until World War II.
