Indiana Legal Services Inc. will visit Edison Junior-Senior High School as part of the Lake Station Family Stability Project. The ILS attorney is prepared to hear about civil legal problems on housing matters, domestic abuse and other family law disputes, securing public benefits, consumer law issues and legal guardianship issues. Use the North Shore entrance located on the east side of the school. Visitors must ring the buzzer and identify themselves. ILS is a not-for-profit organization that provides free legal counsel to low-income persons, seniors (60 and older) and victims of domestic violence on civil legal issues. To be eligible, a person must have a household income that is less than 125 percent of the federal poverty income level; $14,363 income for one person or $29,438 for a four-person household.
