EKG Technician Certification

Munster Parks and Recreation offers innovative health care educational programs online or in the classroom. The EKG Technician Program prepared students to perform EKGs. This course includes information on anatomy an physiology of the heart, medical disease processes, medical terminology, medical ethics, legal aspects of patient contract, electrocardiography, and stress testing. No class March 26 and 29. Class runs 6 to 9:30 p.m., Monday and Thursdays, March 12 through May 7. At the end of the class, the teacher will administer the testing for certification (additional $85) for those interested. Online classes begin in February with six months to complete.
