Historic Pullman Garden Tea and Tour

The Historic Pullman Garden Club, with co-sponsors the Historic Pullman Foundation and Pullman State Historic Site will host the Garden Tea and Tour July 13. Victorian era of the 1880s will be celebrated. Victorians passed the summer days more leisurely than we do today. So step back in time to this picturesque neighborhood. Tickets include a light Summer-themed Tea, including finger sandwiches, sweets and strawberries, all accompanied by a variety of refreshing teas. Enjoy a friendly game of croquet on the lawn before, or after, a guided walking tour of the historic district, which departs on the half hour. The tour will wind through the row house lined blocks to visit the public gardens, select personal gardens, plus the newest addition to the district, a community food garden by The Cooperation Operation. Tickets are $12 in advance by calling (773) 568-2441 until July 6 and $15 on the day of the event. The Pullman Historic District is at the 111th St. exit, west off of I-94.
