History Discussion Group: Treaty of Versailles
History buffs and those who are simply interested in learning more about history are invited to Westchester Public Library’s History Discussion Group in the Bertha Wood meeting room at the Thomas Library. Registration is not necessary. Join the discussion about the Treaty of Versailles, signed in 1919, that ended World War I in Europe. Talk about the key players, the demands, and the consequences of those demands. The discussion will also likely touch on the U.S., since the American treaty with Germany wasn’t signed until years later, as well as President Wilson’s 14 points, particularly the League of Nations. For more information, call or Leea at (219) 926-7696 or Serena at (219) 983-9715.
