Human Trafficking of Youth

Event occured on Mon, Jan 27 2014, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm CST

Munster Police Department and Choice Community Council encourage parents and other interested residents to attend this informative presentation on sex trafficking of our youth in U.S. The presentation will be provided by The Salvation Army's PROMISE Program (Partnership To Rescue Our Minors From Commercial Sexual Exploitation). The presentation will include information about the definition of sexual exploitation, how kids are recruited, and the impact on the victims and the community. The presentation will also increase victim identification and review what is being done to combat the issue. Due to the graphic subject material, the presentation is for adults 18 years of age or older, unless accompanied by a parent. Admission is free.
