Medical Assistant course
The Clinical Medical Assistant Program ((March 3-June 16) ofered through the Munster Parks and Recreation Department trains students to assist physicians and perform functions related to the clinical responsibilities of a medical office: preparing patients for exams, lab procedures an diagnostic testing. You will review topics including phlebotomy, pharmacology, use and administration of medications, vital signs, cardiology including lead placements and the ethical and legal aspects of healthcare. After successful completion, students will be eligible for a 160-hour clinical rotation as well as able to sit for the NHA and CCMA national exams. Monday, Thursday and some Saturday classes.
