The Steven Jefferson Benefit
In May, Steven Jefferson, 31, was diagnosed with Primary Central Nervous System Lymphoma, a rare form of lymphoma affecting only the brain. Jefferson is a U.S. Army veteran of the war in Iraq. He is a union pipe fitter with Local 597. He is currently in 24-hour care at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago undergoing complex treatment regimens, chemotherapy and intensive physical therapy. Family, friends, and loved ones will be hosting a benefit for Steven and his family at the Lake County Fairgrounds. The evening will include food, beverages, sweet treats, live entertainment, photo booth, and fun for all ages. There will be a silent auction/raffle featuring a wide range of gifts and services. Please join us in support as all proceeds will go directly to help the Steven Jefferson family. Tickets are on sale now for $20/$25 at the door. Children 6-12 yrs./$10, under 5 are free. The ticket price will include food, live music and family activities. Beer will be available for purchase. An account in Steven Jefferson's name will be open at Centier Bank, starting June 24, so anyone wishing to make a monetary donation before the event can go to any local Centier Bank and make a deposit.
