Edible Book Festival
Complete a registration form, available at the library, by March 25 to participate in the Kouts Public Library's first ever Edible Book Festival. Participation and attendance at the festival is free. Fun prizes will be awarded and the event will culminate in feasting on everyone's creations. On April 1 around the world, libraries and book stores hold Edible Book Festivals to celebrate literacy and creativity with a tasty twist. Participants must create a food-based representation of a book, whether it's recreating the cover, making a diorama of a scene from the book, or make a visual pun based on a book's theme or story. As long as it's completely edible and creative, the possibilities are endless. For more information, call the library at (219) 766-2271.
