Community gardening

Event occured on Wed, Oct 23 2013, 6:15 pm CDT

Thanks to funding from Foundations of East Chicago, more workshops have been scheduled relating to the community gardening effort underway in East Chicago. Neighborhoods Inc., along with Purdue University, The Salvation Army and United Way, are partnering to provide East Chicago residents the opportunity to learn how to cultivate their own produce. Raised garden beds are provided for this experience. The Oct. 23 workshop topic is “Putting Your Garden to Bed” and the Nov. 20 topic is “Time for Squash & Pumpkin Pies.” RSVP by phone.
