Pullman Factory docents

Event occured on Wed, May 22 2013, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm CDT

Join us for this fun, free workshop that will highlight the industrial history of the United States and our local area, with a focus on Pullman. Led by John Burton, professor of American History at DePaul University, the workshop includes an hour of visuals and historical background followed by a sample walking tour and discussion. Materials will be given out for you to take home and use as a study guide, with follow-up study tours with experienced guides as you train. Enter the site at 11057 S. Cottage Grove Ave, at the Clock Tower building; free parking is available on site. The entrance is one block north of the 111th St. Metra Electric station and 1/2 mile north of the 115th/Kensington station. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes for walking along a fine gravel path. To ensure enough study materials are available, you must RSVP to sleepingcars@sbcglobal.net or call (773) 660-2341.
