Gospel Trio to perform

In honor of Black History Month, the Indiana University Northwest Offices of Diversity Programming and Multicultural Affairs invite the campus and community to enjoy the sounds of the Montgomery Gospel Trio. Minnie McCants Harris, Jamila Jones and Gladys Carter began singing together as elementary school students in Montgomery, Ala. and formed a trio that spoke to the needs of the Civil Rights Movement through song. Refreshments will be served at the free event. Participants are advised to park at Arts on Grant, located just west of the IUN campus in the Village Shopping Center at 37th Avenue and Grant Street, and take the RedHawk Shuttle to campus. Arrive early as event seating will be limited to auditorium capacity.
