Affordable Care Act enrollment
HealthLinc Coffee Talks provide an opportunity for individuals to learn about the Affordable Care Act and how the law affects them and their loved ones. Sessions will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the East Chicago Pastrick Library, 1008 W. Chicago Ave., and 1:30 p.m. at the East Chicago Main Library, 2401 E. Columbus Ave. Certified application counselors will help people enroll in the Health Insurance Marketplace and find out if they qualify for subsidies. Individuals and families interested in enrolling in the Health Insurance Marketplace should bring Social Security numbers or document numbers for legal immigrants; employer, tax and income information for every member of the household who needs coverage, i.e. pay stubs, W-2 forms; policy numbers for any current health insurance plans covering members of the household; and a completed Employer Coverage Tool form available at https://www.healthcare.gov/downloads/ECT_Application_508_130615.pdf for every job-based plan someone in the household is eligible for, even is not enrolled.
