Garden lecture series
Nikky Witkowski, Lake County Purdue Extension educator/coordinator, will cover the basics of growing vegetables as well as some tips on avoiding using different sprays for weed, insect, or disease control. Open to the public as part of the winter lecture series by Lake County Master Gardeners. In addition, the next LCMG class will begin June 12 and will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through July 24, with one hour for lunch. Class size will be limited to 25. The fee is $200 and is non-refundable. Pick up applications at the Purdue Extension Office, 880 E. 99th Court, Crown Point. Call 755-3240 for information.
