For the 28th consecutive year Purdue University Northwest will host the regional Northwest Indiana Science Olympiad on Saturday, Feb. 10.  More than 20 teams from Northwest Indiana middle schools and high schools will compete at the Hammond Campus, 2200 169th St. at the Hammond Campus for a spot at the final championship in March.

The competition will begin at 8:30 a.m. and last until 2:30 p.m.  Awards ceremony will begin at 5 p.m. in the Fitness & Recreation Center's gymnasium.
