Maggie Behrens and Aaron Heider were married on Aug. 12 at St. Alphonsus Church in Chicago, with a reception following at Germania Place. Julie Lockwood served as matron of honor, and Blaise Heider was the best man. Bridesmaids were Ashley Behrens, Pat Duret, Gina Mancini and Keri Masterson.
They were joined by flower girls Rose Miller and Ella Truong. Groomsmen were Jared Heider, George Behrens, Patrick Behrens and Kevin Behrens. Guests were ushered into church by Peter Johnson and Joe Domzalski. Parents of the bride are Mary and George Behrens, of Munster. The groom’s parents are Rosalyn and Kurt Heider, of Hammond, Louisiana. The bride is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, and earned her master’s at Loyola. She is a behavior therapist with Life Strategies in Schererville. The groom holds a bachelor’s from Southeastern Louisiana University, and an MBA from Tulane. He is currently pursuing an engineering degree at Purdue Northwest, and is employed at Millies Engineering Group in Munster. The happy couple honeymooned in Hawaii and are living in Munster.
