It's time for the Chicago Auto Show and car fans will also have the opportunity to get an advance look at the new car offerings beginning Friday at a special fundraiser.
The annual First Look for Charity will be presented Friday at Chicago's McCormick Place.The event is the annual gala preview to The Chicago Auto Show. The show then officially opens Saturday and runs through Feb. 19.
The fundraiser, now in its 27th year, is expected to raise about $2 million for 18 charities.
Chefs, caterers and restaurateurs will be presenting special dishes during First Look for Charity. Among restaurants and caterers participating in the fundraiser will be Savor Chicago, Catered by Design, Poke & Roll, Porkchop, Real Urban Barbecue, Safehouse, Andy's Frozen Custard, Butter Bella Cookies and more.
Entertainment will include The Chicago 6, made up of former Chicago Bears members, and The Four C Notes.
This year's charities include Advocate Health Care; Franciscan Community Benefit Services; Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago; Clearbrook; JDRF; Franciscan Health Foundation; March of Dimes and others.
